Before you can start to use Golfarena, we need to have some basic information about you.
Choose create game when you want to start playing new game. When you have started a game you can give participant code to other players to join your game. Also your Golfarena friends can join your game without a code.
If you have players in your group that do not have supported mobile devices, you can keep scores to them also.
If you have a participant code or your friend has started a new game, you can join this game with your own device. All participants in game will see each others scores in scoreboard.
From my games you can view scoreboards of played games or restart paused game.
With tournaments you can keep total score from multiple rounds.
If you have participant code or your friend has started a new game, you can join this game. When you you have joined a game you and other participants in game will see each others scores in scoreboard.
Enter participant code to join game.
Choose the name of the friend from list thats game you want to join.
You can join game as player or spectator. When you are joining as player, you can add scores and your name is visible at scoreboard.
If you join as spectator you can view game scoreboard, but you can't add scores and your name is not visible at scoreboard.
With scorecard you can keep your and if needed your groups players scores.
To change hole click arrows at the side of hole numbers.
To add players score tap players name.
Players info contains player name, handicap and slope at this course.
Score is players score at this hole. The small grey number is players "own" par (par with handicaps) at this hole.
Gross is players total score relative to par.
Net is players total score relative to par with handicaps.

Add player: You can keep scores also to other players in your group that do not have their own mobile devices to use.
Settings: Change game and player settings. You can change competition mode, pause or end game or change players name or handicap.
Help: Opens this modal window.
With this code other players can join this game with their own mobile devices.
From My Games you can view view scoreboards of played games or restart paused games.
If round is already ended and you have saved round data to Golfarena.com you can only view the scoreboard of the game. You can not change the scores. In this case there is label "scoreboard" after course name.
If you have paused game you can continue the game where it was paused. In this case there is label "continue" after course name.
The most common form of competitive play in which the score is calculated by counting the total number of strokes taken.
In stableford points are received for you score in relation to par.
0 points, 2 shots over or no score
1 point, 1 shot over
2 points, same number of strokes
3 points, 1 stroke under
4 points, 2 strokes under
5 points, 3 strokes under
Similar than stableford, but different scoring.
-3 points, 2 shots over or no score
-1 point, 1 shot over

A 2 players competitive play in which the score is calculated by counting holes won.
Four Ball is a match between two teams of two players (a total of four balls being played) against each other using better-ball scoring. Score is calculated by counting holes won.
In skins each hole caries a value and the winner of the hole wins that ammount - a skin. If hole is tied, the skin is carried over to the next hole, adding to the pot.
With tournaments players can keep total score from multiple rounds.
When you create a new game, you will be asked if you would like this round to be part of a tournament. Just choose the tournament name you would like to participate. If you can not choose tournaments in create game this usually means that you have already played all rounds in your tournaments or you are not participating any tournaments.
If you are not participating in any tournaments, you can create your first tournament from "create tournament" page.
If you join a game that is part of tournament, you will be automatically added to the tournament
This shows all tournaments that you are participating. Tap tournament name to see scoreboard. This only show scores from rounds that have been played.
Create new tournament by filling out the create tournament form.
